Solar Panel Installers in Eastbourne
Solar Panels in Eastbourne
Eastbourne is one of the sunniest places in the country — it sits in its own microclimate between the South Downs and the sea, soaking up close to 1,900 hours of sunshine a year, getting on for 500 more than the UK average. Which, if you’re weighing up solar panels, is about as good a starting point as a British town can offer.
We’re well set up to work here, too: one of our co-founders is based in nearby Heathfield, so Eastbourne and the wider East Sussex coast are firmly part of our patch, not a once-in-a-blue-moon trip. Everything we fit is designed, installed and certified by our own local, qualified electricians — solar panels, battery storage, EV charging and commercial systems.

Why Eastbourne and East Sussex homeowners choose us
With our co-founder Jake based just up the road in Heathfield, we consider ourselves a local East Sussex solar company. The people who survey your roof are the same ones who fit the system and answer the phone afterwards. No call centres, no subcontractors, no chasing.
We’re honest and upfront about the kind of system that will work right for you, whether that’s bigger, smaller or (in some cases) none at all.
We provide detailed quotes that will help you understand whether solar is the right move for you, and how much you can expect to save – or in some cases, make!
Solar in Eastbourne: FAQs
About as good as it gets in the UK. Eastbourne’s coastal microclimate makes it one of the sunniest spots in the country, and while panels don’t need blazing sun to work, more daylight hours means more generation across the year. If solar stacks up anywhere in Britain, it stacks up here.
For most homes, no — the majority of installations count as “permitted development.” The usual exceptions are listed buildings and panels facing the road in a conservation area, including some of the streets nearer the seafront. We’ll check your specific property at the survey so there are no surprises.
It can. Salt in coastal air corrodes ordinary metal over time, so on homes close to the seafront the fixings and mounting hardware need to be suitable for that environment. We look at how exposed your property is at the survey and specify accordingly. A house a few streets back from the front is a different case from one on the front itself.
It all depends on your roof, system, and tariff but some people can make money on their bills by selling energy back to the grid.
We always provide detailed quotes that show how much energy you’re likely to generate and ensure you get given your Export MPAN to allow you to contact your energy provider and see what they offer in terms of exporting your energy back to them.
